Murau region

Green, greener, Murau: in the Murau adventure region, there are forests as far as the eye can see. Austria's most densely wooded region enchants its guests with its unique nature, extensive cultural offerings and delicious cuisine. Eight mountains characterize the image of the region and form the Murau mountain worlds. The region's 40 lakes are hidden in forests and alpine pastures or easily accessible down in the valley. The Murau water worlds can be explored with a special lake map. While hiking, cycling and swimming are on the agenda in summer, winter sports enthusiasts can have fun on the Kreischberg, in the Lachtal, on the Grebenzen and the Frauenalpe. Whether skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing or ice skating - there is always plenty of variety.
