Central Burgenland Feel the Sun Caressing Your Skin

The central part of Burgenland is also called “sunshine state”. For a good reason. Here, the sun begins to shine earlier, more frequently and sets later than in other parts of the country.

Have a Glass of Red Wine in the “Land of Blaufränkisch”

The sun is shining brightly here, you can rely on that. But also the vineyards here are beaming ... with beauty, friendly faces and hospitality. Central Burgenland is famed for its rolling hills, picturesque villages surrounded by fields, deciduous forests, lovely orchards and romantic vineyards. The region derives its name from the large number of well-preserved fortresses and castles (“Burgen”, in German). Set out on a country walk! And, of course, wine... One of the best red varieties, the Blaufränkisch (blue Frankish), is grown here, on more than 2,000 hectares. Don’t miss out on a wine tasting in the “land of Blaufränkisch” and sample these outstanding red wines!
